HER EXCELLENCY #THEGRACEDONE :
First, were they supposed to be in class and didn't attend? Were they supposed to be on clinical posting and didn't go? By their dance, did they infringe on the scope of their training?
People often say nurses are boring, and you see some in the hospital always sad and unhappy. Of course, the work is stressful, with burnout and work overload, so I feel that whatever legitimately reduces stress should be adopted. We are social beings, and this can serve as diversional therapy. I believe there should be balance in all we do, remember, you can even be on duty when no patients are admitted in the ward.
When young people say "No fall sick, Gen Z is taking over," it is simply lighthearted banter reflecting a natural generational shift—not a threat to healthcare standards. "Taking over" means bringing fresh energy, vibrancy, and a modern approach to a demanding profession. Youthful expression or playful trends should not be mistaken for clinical incompetence or malice.
To derail five years of hard work, financial sacrifice, and clinical labor at the 500-level over a social media video, where no patient privacy was violated and no clinical care was compromised, is far too harsh. As professionals, let us preach a balanced social lifestyle and well-being. At the end of the day, let whoever thinks they stand take heed lest they fall. Correction, guidance, and mentorship, not total destruction of their future, is what is needed. I pray they temper justice with mercy for the sake of the students, their parents, and their sponsors. #TemperJusticeWithMercy
