@gmeediamusic: Series 35 — How to Use Kontakt Libraries Without an Audio Interface The demand for Kontakt libraries for live performance is getting higher. However, many people encounter two main issues: having a low-end PC or not having an audio interface. In my previous video, I already covered how to optimize a low-end PC. Then I discovered that some people don’t even have an audio interface to begin with. This video explains how I was able to work with plugins and libraries when I had no audio interface. However, this is not a replacement for an audio interface. The role of an audio interface is still very important for live sound, but with the method I’m going to show you, you can still make do with what you have. To connect your PC to a mixer, you’ll need the right cables. One option is a 3.5mm to RCA cable, since RCA inputs are commonly used for receiving audio from consumer devices. However, some cheap RCA cables can introduce a lot of noise, so another option is to use a good-quality 3.5mm TRS to-1/4-inch TRS cable, depending on the inputs available on your mixer. Lastly, when using this method, you want to run your keyboard software as a standalone application and choose libraries that use less memory.
