My ex sister in law just did the same thing and the state has done nothing. She left a 5 and 10 year old home alone while they were very sick for 9 hours and the state of Rhode Island has done nothing. She also lets her boy friend beat the kids with a belt and the state has done nothing except say he can't be there when the kids are there. No one is checking, no one cares that a 4 year old has belt buckle scars on his back. Absolutely disgusting.
