@homelessprojectscotland: 🚓 Tonight, Sebastian reports from Glassford Street, where police have closed part of the road following an incident in which a man was reportedly struck by a car and the driver left the scene. The incident raises further concerns about the safety of people spending the night outside our shelter. ⛺ Sleeping pods provide limited protection, but they cannot offer the security of proper accommodation. They are a temporary response when our shelter is full, and we remain deeply concerned about the dangers facing those sleeping on the pavement. We urge @glasgowcitycc Glasgow City Council to take these concerns seriously and ensure that people relying on pods have somewhere safe indoors to stay. 💬 What more should be done to protect people who have nowhere indoors to sleep?
