I wish I saw this a week ago when my corgi choked and I panicked and gave him the baby Heimlich maneuver, it dislodged the food though and his is still with us 😩

Our Boston choked on a brat and he died for three minutes. We didn't give up and did cpr, chest compressions, j stroke, and everything you showed on here. We got him back and he was fine after

I swear this is a true story-I called 911 and they walked me through giving my dog the hymlich AND sent an ambulance…because when I called they thought I said my “dad” is choking. [Tears of joy] Anyway- it worked and he lived happily ever after.

My dog died from a ball stuck in the back of his throat. I learned later what I should have done 😢. I never use the smooth balls anymore. Especially when they catch from a distance. PTSD to this day 💔

When my dog choked it was terrifying. Only saved her because of sheer dumb luck from my neighbour helping me but I did remember a lot of the first aid which helped initially
