In 2017, the small town of Osgood, Indiana, was the scene of an incomprehensible family tragedy. Nickalas Kedrowitz, who was only 13 at the time, was responsible for the deaths of his two infant siblings—a 23-month-old and an 11-month-old—in incidents that occurred just months apart. When questioned by police in 2017, the boy gave a statement that left investigators stunned: he claimed he was trying to "free them from some kind of hell," revealing a distorted and chilling view of life and suffering. The fallout from this case in 2017 forced the justice system to make a drastic decision due to the severity and repetitive nature of the acts. Despite being a child, Nickalas was tried as an adult—a measure reserved for crimes of extreme cruelty where the defendant is believed to have full awareness of the lethality of their actions. The court deemed him a continuous danger, and the final sentence was 100 years in prison (50 years for each victim), ensuring he would spend the rest of his adult life behind bars for acts committed during his childhood. #truecrime #TrueCrimeStory #CrimeCase #CrimeInvestigation #JusticeSystem
