@tomprivate8: Many people have asked me how Tom Jones was last night. I LOVED it. And yet it wasn’t at all what I expected. When he came out on stage, I was surprisingly emotional. I actually had tears in my eyes. What was that all about? He walked out slowly, with a shuffle. Definitely no swinging hips like the Tom Jones I remember. He opened with a song called, "I’m Growing Old," which was the perfect song. (google the lyrics - they are beautiful) When he sang, it was the voice I remembered, bringing back so many nostalgic feelings from all those years ago. Here's what I realized... I actually liked this Tom Jones even more. The lines on his face, the slower walk, the occasional slight dance move, and that incredible voice. He wasn’t trying to be the Tom Jones from 50 years ago. He was just Tom Jones at 86. I went expecting a fun night and a lot of nostalgia. It was both of those things, and somehow a whole lot more. ❤️🔥 Legendary Tom Jones!
