@nomikipetrolla: I’ve been talking about our pivot publicly because it’s still happening in real time. We haven’t fully transitioned from one business model to the next. It takes time and we’re doing our best to be thoughtful and intentional. The scariest part of a pivot is that you, the founder, know exactly why you have to do this (survival, literally), but everyone else thinks you’re abandoning your mission and ethos. It can look like that from the outside if you don’t know me. And I get that. But that thought also eats me alive - I woke up and it’s my first thought, hence the writing on a Sunday morning. But I think 2 things can be true. 1. My mission to help women build sustainable businesses for time and financial freedom is still true. 2. The current business model will not sustain the pace of technology advancements. So what changes is not the mission, not who I am, not what I believe, but HOW I achieve it. I’ve learned so much and the “how” is a revolving door. You’re testing and experimenting new ideas every day. You’re figuring out what works and doesn’t. You’re learning how to adapt with the frontiers and focusing more on a niche. We’ve narrowed the focus to something I’m really good at and really love. You’ve watched me for 2 years build in public. I share my data. I share my learnings. I share my new tests. I’ve been bullish on transparency and I’ve leveraged data to help me do it. That is the how. Help founders run GTM experiments with their data to get better results. That’s what’s the pivot is. And with this pivot we’ll have better data to use to prove that we can help more women build successful companies. We’re moving at the speed of light and waitlist is open.
