LET’S TALK MISTAKES 🥴 Skipping the strategy and diving straight into the design without a clear plan. 🥴 Sending a logo without showing the full vision (and leaving the client confused). 🥴 Wrapping up a project without giving the client the tools to actually use their new brand. These mistakes ended up using way more time and energy than needed—and honestly, it doesn’t give the client the best experience either. So here’s how I like to break it down: 😎 Step 1: strategy & creative direction to set the vibe and get on the same page with my client. 😎 Step 2: A proper brand presentation to show the full identity and help my client understand it and fall in love with it. 😎 Step 3: Brand guidelines to give my client everything they need to keep the brand consistent (and avoid endless questions about fonts and colors). And yes, before anyone says it—I know ppl are gonna tell me the real mistake is using Illustrator for presentations instead of InDesign. 😅 But I prefer it, okay?! Honestly, having templates of each just make this process so much quicker and save me the time of making presentations from scratch every single time. If you want to check them out, you can find them in the “shop” tab in my bio 😎 (yep, Illustrator and InDesign). But no pressure—you don’t need templates to make this work! I made my own from scratch when I first started, and they grew and adapted with my process. You can totally do the same if you’ve got the time. P.S. Wanna chat more about these steps (or see me nerd out over brand guidelines)? Let me know 😎 #branddesign #brandingdesigner #graphicdesign #graphicdesigner #logodesign #logodesigner #visualidentity #brandidentitydesign #brandidentity #designprocess #creativeprocess
