@maia_shops: Kodiak Island, Alaska, is already famous for enormous bears and unforgiving wilderness. But seeing a horse standing against that landscape can feel strangely out of place. Surrounded by mountains, thick forests, freezing water and miles of isolated terrain, an ordinary horse can suddenly look enormous—especially when there’s nothing nearby to give you a sense of scale. And when fog rolls across the island, sometimes all you see is a silhouette standing motionless in the distance. No rider. No buildings. Just a horse staring back from the wilderness. On Kodiak, even something familiar can look like it doesn’t belong there. #fyp
