💙 Sandkaj harbour bath, Nordhavn 💙 My favourite thing to do in Copenhagen is to swim in the harbour, and it just so happens to be free, so it's a great activity if you're on a budget - and a decent swimmer. 🌊 This is Sandkaj harbour bath in Nordhavn, about a 5 minute walk from Nordhavn metro stop. It's a proper bath in that there's a sectioned off pool area - and a couple of lanes for serious swimmers too. Copenhagen has designated swimming spots you have to stick to - you can't just swim anywhere. 🛟 These baths have lifeguards in the summer, and there are toilet facilities here as well. ✨ Copenhagen has really clean water but from time to time the water quality isn't good enough for swimming. If this happens these baths have a 🚨light they switch on so you know not to go in. Otherwise, just go ahead and take a dip! 👩 For solo travellers - I really liked this spot because even though it got busy from about midday the vibe was quite relaxed. And this isn't something you feel conspicuous doing on your own - there were plenty of people here by themselves.
