I must have missed it. I was not groomed to be a wife. I was groomed to have a career and be independent

I don’t have this experience. I grew up in church where marriage was encouraged I guess? But that’s a Christian thing and my church was diverse. Nothing outside of that groomed me to be a wife.

It’s wild the things that people believe without really knowing anything about what they are talking about. I grew up being taught to be a good person not a wife. If you get married that great if not that’s great too. And that’s exactly what I’m teaching my daughters. I have never not once seen a mother raise their daughter to be a “wife”. Children learn those rolls simply by watching their parents. It’s that simple

I personally was taught to be a wife . But I was also told to always have your own money “just incase” . I’ve been married for 6 years (I’m 27) & a housewife for 2 years as of December . It’s not for everyone

we are not trained and groomed. we are shown what real love and connection is. my parents were married, then had my brother and I. they were married until my dad passed 2 years ago. im 40. they were together 40 years. they went thru things, hard things. but worked it out. they tried. they compromised. they considered each other in every aspect. they respected each other. THAT is what I was taught along with almost all my friends growing up.
