@aesthetic.engineer: Caffeine has never given anyone energy. Not one joule. Once you know what it actually does, the timing stops being arbitrary. 📌 Key takeaways: • Adenosine builds up all day and binding to its receptor is the feeling of being tired • Caffeine blocks the receptor without activating it, so you lose the ability to read the gauge • It's a loan. The adenosine keeps accumulating behind it, which is the crash • Half life is 5 to 6 hours, so a 4pm coffee is still a quarter present at 2am • You'll still fall asleep. What gets cut is the deep sleep where your GH pulse lives • Wait 90 minutes after waking, cortisol already peaks on its own • 3 to 6mg per kilo, 30 to 60 min pre training, is the dose with real measured effects 🔗 Full recovery system in bio. #GymTok #caffeine #preworkout #sleep #bodybuildingtips

Not correct at all. Whilst yes the primary effect that reduces fatigue is due to the fact it is an adenosine antagonist, caffeine actually does increase energy production. Firstly it increases Catecholamines like adrenaline and noradrenaline, increases lipolysis, increased thermogenesis and metabolic rate. Caffeine doesn’t provide metabolic energy, but it changes your nervous system and metabolism in ways that can increase energy expenditure and alter fuel utilisation, while simultaneously reducing the perception of fatigue.

If I do a hard session at 6pm, then is it worth the caffeine for performance or will it still limit sleep?

i disagree with the preworkout blends slide, there’s plenty of preworkouts that have properly dosed beta alanine, alpha gpc, L citrulline, betaine etc
