in lore vampires are shapeshifters, so they probably do sleep like bats 👀👀

actually, at 400 years old, I am not sad and lonely because I lack a friend group, I am sad because I lack a large sprawling mansion

I’ve always thought vampires turned people with their saliva since once they tear open the wound their spit automatically enters the bloodstream idk if that makes much sense

Genuinely this all makes sense ESPECIALLY the vampire turning stuff. 🥹 there has to be a whole process in order to turn someone, or it's just not as effective in writing. ( which is why I LOVE Castlevania's interpretation of turning SO MUCH DUDE ) I freaking love vampires

wait so a lot of people have said that I'm dumb for thinking that vampires dont use their fangs like straws as well, personally i think they pierce into a blood vessel and just suck out the blood but i would like to hear your thoughts!

i like to think that some vampires are bleedgans and use wine as a sustitute and that's where the idea of wine being the blood of god came from

I like thinking of vampirism as an illness, so that’s why my version would be able to infect others with a bite but I love the other stuff

EMPHASIS ON THE FANGS PART OH MY GAHHH!!!! I also like to think of vampire feedings as different depending on the occasion :3 when it’s done in hate, it’s brutal and a lot of tearing and wearing; a lot of growling and gulping. But when it’s an act of compassion and trust, it’s peaceful and careful sips… I love vampire media uuuuugh

Also we need to add more of what actually vampire bats do for eachother, like kissing those who can’t hunt for themselves to make sure they still eat

I like to think vampires can secrete anti-clotting juices from their fangs when biting (like some bats) which allows easier drinking ^^

I agree with the social vampire idea! In the image below is a section of a conversation between a young vampire familiar and a more experienced one, from an old short story of mine, discussing the exact same thing.
