im a survivor of dv, i left my moms house a couple weeks after my 17th birthday. i havent looked back since now im almost 18 working 2 jobs paying for my own place 🥹 it does get better.

For everyone who left their siblings behind. I was a sibling that was left behind. And I don’t blame my brother, in fact i’m so grateful he left because he’s alive and i don’t know if that would be true today had he stayed. We all eventually made it out, and I’m so grateful for it no matter the time line.

I’ve spent time in programs for homeless youth and mental health facilities because I had no where else to go.. I may be in a group home now and I may have no real home: but I’m out. I’m out, and that’s what matters ❤️🩹

I was 15 when I moved out. 2021. I never thought I would do it but I did it. I felt so sorry for my little Stepsister. She was the only reason why I was so long in this household. I couldn‘t stand this anymore, so I moved out right before Christmas. I‘m 20 now and I‘m still not rlly better cuz I was physically so drained that I even stopped going to school but I try to come back to the real life. Today I had my first Day at Work after 2 yrs of doing nothing and I couldn‘t be prouder of me :)
