I'm a dismissive avoidant woman, and I will say, I would love to see gender studies on attachment, because as a woman I have never just said, "I just feel bad and idk why" lol. I've had therapy too, again, because I'm a woman and we are raised to believe everything is our fault. So its more like, "Hold up, I feel bad, I need a minute....omg he was just so condescending and that's why I felt dismissed and invalidated." but then I never want to bring it up and plan out bringing it up for days or even weeks, and it's really really hard to say, hey "I wish you didn't talk to me that way because it makes me feel small."

managing to bring yourself around to say 'okay this isn't actually malicious or abuse, I just feel BAD about it' is such a huge skill that I am finally starting to figure out but also is just *blech* hard and I hate it

I’m a fearful avoidant. I’m convinced now that boyfriend is dismissive. Makes sense, because we are alike with how we see conflict, just two different tactics on how we deal with it.
