My Debt Payoff Journey :

I’ve realized that I would much rather have a job that I truly enjoy, even if it means making less money. That was what was weighing on me yesterday and why I was feeling so down.I had applied for a promotion to a position I’ve held before, and honestly, I was miserable in that role. The raise would have been significant and would have helped me pay off my debt much faster, which is what made it so tempting. Four years ago, I actually took a step down to the position I’m in now, and I absolutely love what I do.I was trying to find a way to increase my income so I could get out of debt sooner, but this morning I withdrew my application. The truth is, the thought of going back into that role was already causing me stress, and I realized that no amount of extra money is worth sacrificing my happiness and peace of mind. I’d rather keep a job I genuinely enjoy and find another way to tackle my debt.

I took a huge paycut to leave a job that was making my mental and physical health deteriate for a job I was much happier in, that valued me as a person. losing the money was hard but my health was more important. i was only at the job for the money anyways
