The people who lived in the pink palace before was a woman, a man and a little boy. One day the boy was playing near the well and fell in and never returned. The woman and man were his parent and were devastated and the woman turned crazy and killed her husband. An she became The other mother and transformed into other people's parents to lure kid to her so she could replace her son. The husband came back to life as the cat to make sure his crazy wife wouldn't take another child. And he helped many kids return to their own world but some wouldn't listen.

i have a theory that when coraline fell off the balcony and hit her head she actually died. her last 7 minutes was her imagining saving the ghost children and making it out alive and defeating the beldam.

I have a theory... the neighbors knew that beldam was a thing and since she was after Coraline, the neighbors called her Caroline so beldam did not know that they were talking to her

mysticbeani :
The beginning of the film when the bedlam is preparing Coralline’s doll, her putting the sawdust inside the doll to fill it up is foreshadowing Coraline’s funeral because that’s how funeral homes in the 1800s used to prepare the body’s and make them seem alive for the family to view them. The food she made also turned to dust which proves that throughout the entire film, she was filling Coraline up to prepare her for her own funeral.

why was the door covered in wallpaper in the first place? maybe it was a warning not to open it, and don't tell me the other mother covered it because she knows Coraline is curious, but if the other mother did covered it how did she got to the world where Coraline lives????

wybie(idk how to spell im sry) as a whole was a creation of the other mother in order to give her the doll and make her feel safer incase she realized something was up, however it backfired on her later in the movie where we see him attempt to warn her, and earlier in the movie when she mentions the weird things happening he acts as if shes crazy so she doesnt follow up on her theories

the reason the other wybie can't talk is because the other mother never heard his voice because he never went in the house

i think this is bobinskis daughter and the mice led coraline into the door trying to get her out because bobinski trained the mice to do it so he could have his kid back.

Okay so you know how most doll are filled with cotton because cotton I easier to control. BUT Caroline’s doll is filled with sand!!! So that’s why the other mother asked to play hide and seek in the rain because sand is easier to control when it’s wet. And the other kids she ate were filled with cotton so that’s why she controlled them so easily. (I hope you understand 😖)
