7 GLP-1 habits I had to unlearn ⚠️ These felt like the right things to do. Every single one of them was quietly sabotaging my progress. 1️⃣ Eating only when I felt hungry My whole life I ate when my body told me to. On GLP-1s that signal basically disappears. ✅ I went entire days without eating because nothing triggered that hunger feeling ✅ My body was running on fumes and my metabolism slowed to match ✅ I had to retrain myself to eat by the clock not by the feeling and it felt wrong at first but my results proved it right 2️⃣ Pushing through workouts no matter how I felt I used to believe that showing up tired was better than not showing up at all. ✅ Training hard on days when my body was still processing a fresh dose made everything worse ✅ I was sore for days recovery took forever and my performance kept dropping ✅ Learning to match my intensity to where I was in my 💉 cycle was the fix I didn't know I needed 3️⃣ Using the scale as my only measure of progress Every morning I stepped on the scale and let that number set my mood for the day. ✅ I ignored inches lost energy gained and clothes fitting better because the number wasn't moving ✅ Water retention alone can hide an entire week of real fat loss ✅ The day I put the scale away and started tracking measurements in the DreamMe app was the day I stopped punishing myself for nothing 4️⃣ Finishing everything on my plate I grew up hearing don't waste food and that programming runs deep. ✅ On GLP-1s your stomach is physically smaller and forcing more in causes nausea and bloating ✅ Half a plate of good food is better than a full plate that makes you miserable for three hours ✅ I had to give myself permission to stop eating when my body said stop even if the plate wasn't empty 5️⃣ Drinking all my water at once to hit my daily goal I would chug a whole bottle to catch up and feel bloated and sick every time. ✅ Your body can only absorb so much at once and the rest just passes through ✅ I started logging my water intake through the day in my DreamMe app and realized I was doing nothing until 3pm then flooding my system ✅ Small sips every thirty minutes absorb better and the bloating completely stopped 6️⃣ Treating carbs like the enemy Every diet I tried before GLP-1s told me to cut carbs so I carried that rule over. ✅ Zero carbs on top of appetite suppression left me with no energy for anything ✅ My workouts suffered my mood crashed and I was foggy all day ✅ Adding back moderate carbs around my training gave me fuel without slowing my results at all 7️⃣ Keeping my journey completely private I thought I had to do this alone and figure everything out by myself. ✅ Not talking about it meant I had no support system and no one to reality check my panic spirals ✅ The first time I shared what I was going through someone said me too and it changed everything ✅ You don't have to post about it publicly but having even one person who gets it makes the hard weeks so much easier. Using my app to vent and get my questions answered was SO helpful 💬 Which habit was the hardest for you to unlearn? I bet there's one on here that you're still fighting right now.
