@socialcap: Yes, these are terrible cars to buy in 2026. But hey, do what works for you...even if it doesn't work after two months of driving. #finance #money #wealth #tyler
My dad loved his Range Rovers but I always felt really cool driving it as a teenager🤣

all cars depreciate. a car is a tool, not an investment.

I've had my Jeep Wrangler since 2009 it was actually a 2008 model manufactured in December that year... it has cost me under $5,000 in maintenance over the last 17 years. it's only ever needed normal maintenance, oil change, etc. I'm about to buy a new car but I won't sell the Wrangler as I do need it on my farm. I also have to drive 5K to get on a paved road.

Hey maybe you shouldn’t go to a Tesla to get your repairs. There are plenty of Ev repair shops that wont charge what an arm and a leg.

Why do people say this about Teslas to be fair? I’ve got over 100,000 miles and I haven’t had to go to the test shop at all. But there are third-party companies out there now maybe not when they first came out but now you can get them fixed plenty of places. Depreciation is real, but not as bad as they once were. And my insurance full coverage is literally the same as my last car that was not a Tesla.

The Jeep Wrangler EV actually, for me, gets about 31 miles to the gallon because I charge it and as far as ride quality, it’s gotten a lot better than previous models

Serious question. How would you rate the Cybertruck? Paid $113k cash in ‘24 for very early VIN Foundation Series for work truck. Serious depreciation at first, but now value is rising with lifetime FSD and low miles. Is it a keeper?

Not true on all Trucks. In Michigan I hold my new truck for 7 years and sell it. I do have low miles though so that helps. My monthly average for a GMC Sierra 4 door SLT(loaded) has been about $200 a month. Trucks hold value. I do haul some 3foot 2x4’s occasionally too😁
