@hiphopofthe90s: 50 Cent had Detroit completely locked in back in 2003 🔥 This performance of “Wanksta” was recorded at Detroit’s State Theatre and later included in the live section of “The New Breed,” 50 Cent’s 2003 documentary and video release. The show also brought together G-Unit, Eminem, D12 and Obie Trice. “Wanksta” first appeared on 50 Cent’s 2002 mixtape “No Mercy, No Fear” before reaching a wider audience through the “8 Mile” soundtrack. It later appeared as a bonus track on “Get Rich or Die Tryin’” and peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming an important part of his mainstream breakthrough. The crowd makes the performance feel even more different today. Camera phones had not yet become a normal part of concert culture, so everyone was watching the stage instead of recording through a screen. Would you attend a phone-free concert today? 🤔⁉️ #rap #hiphop #rapmusic #hiphopmusic

I was born too late 😓I wish I was old enough to be in that era so I could've actually been happy watching 50 Cent in his prime instead of just scrolling through his young-day content now 😭
