@kk_psyche: I am Jane Doe. You are Jane Doe. We are all Jane Doe. A former Cornell University student (under the pseudonym Jane Doe) filed a major civil lawsuit against the institution itself, several bars, and seven members of the Chi Phi student fraternity, accusing them of gang rape and covering up the crime. According to the lawsuit, the incident occurred on October 19, 2024, when the girl was 20 years old. In the Chi Phi fraternity dormitory in Ithaca, she was drugged (with ketamine) and given alcohol, after which she was subjected to sexualized violence for 7 hours. After the victim contacted the university police, the district attorney refused to open a criminal case due to a “lack of evidence.” The university’s internal investigation resulted only in the closure of the fraternity’s branch, the expulsion of two students, and the temporary suspension of the rest. Five participants were even required only to write an essay “about consent in relationships.” Jane Doe herself was forced to drop out of school due to the harassment. On September 14, 2026, Jane Doe filed a formal civil lawsuit. The story quickly spread through independent student media and social media, sparking a large‑scale support flash mob under the hashtag #IamJaneDoe . Many celebrities spoke out against the negligence of the university’s administration and the Ivy League system. Under pressure from the public and criticism from the governor of New York State, it was announced that the investigation would be reopened. The case has been referred to a grand jury for possible criminal charges. мой тгк: квокка #iamjanedoe #janedoe #feminism #джейндоу #феминизм #cornelluniversity #психология #квокка
