@karenscatcommunity: A little update on our colony kittens and their journey with us. Blue is doing really well, although she has her X-ray and spay coming up next week. Callie is also doing brilliantly, with her second vaccinations next week — and she already has a home waiting for her. Sasha, though, seems to have taken a little step backwards since being introduced to Tammy. She doesn’t seem quite as trusting, and she’s not as bonded with Blue as she was. It’s got us wondering whether Sasha and Tammy might actually be better together, but both of these girls are incredibly timid and would need someone willing to put the time and patience into them. It’s a reminder that rescue doesn’t always move forwards in a straight line. Even the kittens who should be ready for adoption still have vaccinations, neutering and vet care ahead of them. And the bills just keep growing. Abigail’s lump is getting bigger and needs removing, Eve needs further blood tests, and we still have dentals and other treatments waiting. We’re desperate to reach our £5,000 JustGiving target so we can keep moving forward with the care these cats need. But helping KCC isn’t always about donating. If you can’t donate, sharing our posts, sharing the cats who are harder to rehome, talking about rescue cats or simply helping us reach the right person can make a huge difference. Sometimes the share is the thing that changes a cat’s life. #RescueCats #CatRescue #AdoptDontShop
