@principal.after.h: The Sunday Scaries hit different when you know you’re walking back into a job that can take everything out of you. 😮💨 And I want you to know something… I’ve spent 24 years in education. I’ve been a teacher, principal, and superintendent. I love education and I love serving kids—but I also know what it feels like when the demands of this profession become overwhelming. I even stepped away from education for a while. Eventually I came back because I realized education is still where I’m supposed to be. But I also realized something else… I needed something that was mine outside of my 9–5. I’ve spent plenty of money over the years on leadership courses and professional development to make me better at my job. This time, I decided to invest in professional development for ME—learning digital skills and ways to create additional income outside of education. And with a son who has a rare genetic disease and the medical expenses that come with it, that extra income has a purpose much bigger than just making more money. If you’re an educator who keeps thinking, “There has to be another way…” I’m documenting what I’m learning and doing right here. Follow along. Comment INFO if you want to know what I’m doing. 👇 I’m sharing my personal experience. Results vary and aren’t guaranteed. Your results depend on your effort, strategy, experience, market, and other factors. #educatorsidehustle #teacherburnout #remoteworklife #educatorsoftiktok #sidehustle

I absolutely hate going to bed Sunday night. I hate it because I know the chaos I have to start when I wake up.

Medical office staff too, patients are the nicest to doctors and nurses but then turn around and become vile with the insurance coordinator, the front desk, the insults, the threats ,it is disgusting, I work in infertility and the abuse these people give us regular staff is unbelievable and unbearable, yes I know you are paying or your insurance is paying a lot, I can't help it if your insurance has denied your treatment because they consider you too old to have a baby, no need to threaten my job or my life!!

Teaching is difficult, I feel for kids that want to go into the field. They need to be sure they know what they’re getting themselves into. It’s very rewarding but also stressful.

I feel that way right now. It’s a beautiful day but I’m going to go lay down once I get done taking my kids to their sports bc I need energy for the week ahead. Although, laying down isn’t going to help bc this is burn out and exhausted to the bone and soul.

Document harmful working conditions → demand changes → bargain to impasse → complete required procedures → authorize a strike → strike. It is the only way to save our profession.
