@biosaber52: The antlion that turns the sand into a trap     English The antlion larva digs into the sand by moving in circles and throwing small grains outward. Little by little, it creates a deep funnel with steep walls and then hides at the bottom, leaving only its jaws barely visible. An ant walks near the edge and, as it steps on the loose sand, it begins to slide toward the center. Every time it tries to climb back up, the sand gives way under its legs. The antlion then quickly throws more sand from below, making the prey lose even more support. The ant falls to the bottom of the funnel and the larva’s large jaws grab it immediately. From that position, the antlion remains almost buried while it begins feeding. When it finishes, it throws the remains out of the trap, rearranges the sand, and hides again at the bottom waiting for another insect to slide down the walls. #Antlion #Insects #Nature #Predators #tiktokgrowthchallenge
