i don't believe in the "no one deserves to die 🥺" thing, i just don't think giving the government the authority to systematically kill people is a good idea. Also, supporting the death penalty either requires you to trust that the legal system is always right or not caring about potential innocent "casualties"

Main problem that I have is that it’s irreversible. If someone later turns out to be innocent, which happens fairly often even after death penalties, they can’r just be brought back to life
