I got sent for a growth scan because the student midwife measured my bump as two weeks too small, and then my actual midwife re-measured to check and it measured as 2 weeks too big, 3 minutes apart in measurements! 😂 so they just sent me for a scan to check, growth scan put her right on the 50th centile, and then she was born a week overdue at 6lbs11oz, on the 25th centile. I wouldn’t stress too much about it as they’re only ever slightly accurate a small percentage of the time so it’s not worth the extra stress when it’s not something you can even control! Plus as you’re having a planned c section, you’ll prob have her about a week or so early anyway 🫶🏼

Its a very outdated method and almost never right, i'm 31+4 and the midwife has been measuring me 3 weeks ahead since 26 weeks but the scans are normal. Honestly don't stress about it x

We was told our baby was going to be big but was born 7lbs 2oz. The measurements are not always accurate xx

I’m currently 32 weeks pregnant and measuring 7 weeks ahead. They checked my stomach and told me it feels like it’s all baby and not excess fluid, and that she’s big. I’ve also got a growth scan on Wednesday to see how big she actually is x

Personal experience x3 it meant nothing 🤣 measured small every time and I’ve never had a baby less than 8lb 🤣

I was 36 weeks when my midwife measured bump and said I was 15th percentile so booked us in for a growth scan. The scan then told us baby was weighing 7lb 13oz and 94th percentile😳 with 3 weeks to go! I don’t understand how my bump measures at 15th percentile yet baby is 94th percentile🤣

I’ve been midwife measured twice at 95/97% and I knew it was completely wrong, my previous babies have been 6.8,6.5 and 5.3… growth scan made me 14th% and will prob be being induced early again due to another small baby. Honestly don’t worry about measurements, scan is more accurate by far xx

It’s crazy how different everyone’s appointments are. I had my 34 week appointment and midwife said we don’t do plan till 37 weeks x
