@talesbyapollo: [FULL STORY] Tipping in the United States is getting way out of hand #redditstory #story #goviral #fyp

❤️🔪billy.loomis🔪❤️ :

tipping is basically the only way servers make money. they barely make a livable wage as it is so tipping helps them, so when I'm older I'm going to tip a lot because they need tips

Kathleen Halliwell | author :

I tip if I go to a sit down restaurant and am waited on. other than that, I dont tip.

steel :

I've been working in the restaurant industry for 27 years and I don't want a tip if I give you bad service, attitude or anything that represents you feeling remotely uncomfortable that has to do with me PERIOD. Also if I choose to work somewhere that I don't actually work somewhere that I don't actually give u a service and still have to depend on tips AGAIN I don't want it. I'm a bartender/ server I actually wait on people and I give great service BUT I even came to my BREAKING point when I went to a cookie place in the mall and I ordered 5 cookies for 19$ FREAKING DOLLARS!!! and she took six seconds to put them in a thin paper bag and the kiosk asks if I want to tip......UMMM NO and I work in the industry it's ridiculous!!!!!

ElRepo :

"tipping is basically the only way servers make money" BUT I AM SERVING MYSELF!!!

I dont tip

Jayy :

i just tipped 10c for my doordash

Happy :

The things is you pay for the process of getting the food

Q :

i just tip 0% unless i have a waitress/waiter, it’s that simple lol. don’t complain, just don’t tip.

Betrys :

People acting like there isn’t a “no” button. As someone that works at a place that has one of those tip screens…no one actually cares if you don’t tip. It’s appreciated but it’s not like at sit down restaurants that only pay their workers a couple a bucks an hour

Faisal Choudhri :

Here’s my thoughts on tipping. If I’m seated and someone comes to take my order then I tip but if I’m picking up or doing the work myself or standing when ordering I don’t. Like I went to a gas station to buy water and they asked for a tip. Like for what I got the bottle myself and used Apple Pay.

Challenger :

Personally I’d would put -100% so they pay you

redst4r7 :

i’ll always tip for something i’m too lazy to do myself, doordash, sit down restaurant etc. i went to a concert recently and at the merch stand they asked for a tip, for literally turning around and handing me a t shirt 😭😭😭

Kraqd :

unless you are a server waiting on my table. you not getting a tip from me and I don't even care

agee_12 :

if there isnt an employee in sight whats stopping someone from walking out without paying

chris :

Tipping

punkin :

I don’t live in the usa but I feel your pain

ythubworld99 :

Yo so truee

Balls jiggler :

I WANT THE SELF SERVE FROYO IT'S LIKE YO-CHIII

Kookie :

I would never tip cuz I'm already paying for the food and treating customers right is literally their job

Angler Bob :

At my old job, I was happy if I left a closing shift with 2 dollars in tips

JBMP1224 :

My rule is if I’m standing I don’t tip , wether that be when I order , when I eat , anything , if I’m not sitting in a restaurant or bar I’m not tipping shit

gerty :

refilling the machines and add ins?
