I worry about my 17 year old son constantly. His emotional health, his ability to make good decisions, to not die while out doing teen things, to not lose his temper and end up in jail when he’s the kindest person ever. It’s like…non stop. I dreamt of him being 80 and crying for his mom while he’s in a hospital bed and I’m not there to hold his hand bcz I’m dead. I sobbed. (I’m also perimenopausal and emotional). But damn, I only ever worry even with constant prayer 😭

I think we forget how hard the young years were. Teen years are SO much easier. Mine bath themselves, get themselves places and even cook for us all. No comparison to the relentlessly tiring early years. I can say “hey I need a nap” now and they leave me alone for 2 hours

My daughter just turned 16 and today I checked her location and she was at a boy’s house without telling me. I got in the car and showed up at his house to pick her up. Why can’t they just be honest? it’s really hard finding a balance between letting them experience life and trying to protect them.
