@therecordpromoter: Hailing from Glasgow, Deacon Blue burst onto the late 80s scene with heartfelt storytelling, sweeping melodies, and a sound that wove Scottish soul, pop, and rock into something truly timeless. Dignity (1987) stands as their defining anthem a tender, rousing tribute to resilience, ordinary lives, and holding fast to hope. With Ricky Ross’s honest, soaring vocals, Lorraine McIntosh’s luminous harmonies, and lyrics that speak of working hard and keeping your head held high, it captured the heart of a generation. More than just a song, it’s a promise: no matter what life brings, you carry your worth with you. Decades on, Dignity remains a beloved classic a song that feels like home, and a reminder that grace and strength live in all of us. #DeaconBlue #Dignity #ScottishMusic #80sClassics #GlasgowSound
