Six of our seven older girls are currently expecting, so there's plenty of excitement (and changing moods) to keep them busy! While pregnancy seems to have turned Murera into something of a tyrant, it's had the opposite effect on Enkesha. Already gentle by nature, she's become even calmer and quieter. Perhaps she's wisely saving her energy for motherhood! If our calculations are right, Enkesha's baby is due in late 2027. We can't wait! Rescued nine years ago after a poacher's snare left her with a life-threatening trunk injury, Enkesha has since blossomed into a gentle, nurturing elephant. We know she'll make a wonderful mother.
