@thesoulful_writer: I believe, to the deepest part of my soul, that life, at some point, hands you a dream. It settles in your heart. And you feel it. Its fire. Its glory. The ache of something you want so deeply that even finding the words for it leaves you quiet. You begin to see it in the middle of ordinary days. A thought catches you on the drive home. You lie awake adding one more detail to a place, a life, a possibility that still exists only within you. Sometimes you wish someone could step inside your heart for a moment and see it as clearly as you do. Perhaps then they would understand why you keep returning to it. And, God, you want to see it come true. So much. You want to give it your labour, your patience, the years you still have. Even when you are afraid, even when you cannot yet see how, you find yourself reaching for the next small thing you can do. There is a prayer beneath it all, one you carry into sleep and wake with in the morning: Lord, let me live to see this. Let these hands help bring it into being.
