I've set rules for myself. During the week I have to take at least two days off from gaming so that I can catch up on other media and Sundays are for movies.

A Cool Ninja :
You read a few words in the book absorbing none of it, try to build the Lego set but get no where, attempt to play a new game but it doesn't hit and then play several hours of your comfort game while feeling like a failure

Books and Pets :
I solved that problem by only having 1 hobby lol. I am not a gamer though I have played games and even ran a guild long time ago on Guild Wars so that was easy to give up. Legos was too expensive so that was easy to never start (book nooks are another issue however lol).
