Got so mad at the way SJM has written her books with the double standards and hypocrisy that I started a fanfic. I love the world and the characters, but the writing is frustrating sometimes lol Then my fic took on it’s own life and now it’s turning into it’s project that I want to publish some day 😭 Is that bad?

As a writer who HATES fan fictions (no shade I just am super picky about my canon and characters and that goes for the fandoms I love too in general), suing people over it is stupid. It’s not like they make money for it. If they start making money and claim it’s their own original work then that’s a different story cuz at that point yes that’s unauthorized copyright infringement but suing over just regular fan fiction is ridiculous. Like I may not like the fan fictions but I am honored people like my story enough to invest that much time into a story I wrote cuz yeah as a writer that shit ain’t easy to do unless it’s mediocre but some people invest sooooo much time like that’s an honor. But if the fan fiction is nasty…then maybe I’ll sue for emotional distress.
