I filed for divorce, he emptied all of our accounts and moved the money to an account I couldn’t access so I had to stay. I ended up dropping the divorce. I planned for 9 months after that. I set up an account in just my name and saved what I could. My mom helped me get an apartment. I packed up on a Monday while he was at work, my dad and my uncles came and helped me get as much of my stuff and my kids stuff out as I could. And then I filed for divorce. He begged me for about a week to come back. He cried. He told me he would change. He told me God didn’t like divorce and I was making the wrong choice. After a week he realized it wasn’t working, so he got a new girlfriend instead. 7 months later, my divorce is finalized and in one month from today my kids and I will be on our way to Disney World. I’ve never been happier ❤️picture of me and the kids our first night in our apartment. Scared, but so happy to be free.

Yep my therapist had me write him a letter so he had actual proof that I was leaving. He crumpled it up and threw it away and said I wasn’t leaving because I never leave.

Same. Big crocodile tears when we told the kids, “Mom’s ripping apart our family, Mom wants to leave” etc etc yet behold, he suddenly had a gf 9 days later. “Why should I be alone?” he said. Sir, at least wait until we hire a lawyer?! He needed to secure a new supply quickly.

I moved out. he promised over and over he would do whatever I wanted. cried because he was losing his family. I filed for a legal separation. I was up front and said you can make this right. this is your last chance. he thought he would bluff me and said if you don't cone home we should just divorce. Your wish is my command, Sir. Not 3 months after the divorce he had been evicted from his apartment and living out of his car and sleeping in my parking lot in front of the kids so they woukd put pressure on me to take him back. It was wil but I held the line. When you are done you are done.I applaud you for planning and sticking to that plan in the face of his promises.

How is it we all have virtually the same story?? After my ex punched out the screen on his laptop because he was raging about me “disrespecting him” in front of our son, I decided to leave. Ten months later, I made it happen. Mind you, the disrespect he accused me of was me telling him to not scream at our ONE YEAR OLD who had pulled the cat’s tail while I was making dinner… and guess who was supposed to be watching him?
