Excellent analysis. Can I also add that many immigrants, Black immigrants in particular, have also been primed to hate Black Americans by their own internalized anti-Blackness? They believe the lies about us because they first believed the lies about themselves. We become a proxy for everything they hate about themself, their own communities, and the Black nations they left.

The issue is many of us repeat it about each other too. Many of us look down on the ghetto and aave and such and then black immigrants feel it's a cosign or that there's truth in what was being said.
