The NCLEX can shut off at 85 questions, but it can also keep going all the way to 150. That means your NCLEX prep should include building test taking stamina. Try this with your NCLEX QBank: Take 40 questions in test mode with no distractions. Take a short break. Come back and take another 40. Take another break. Then do 40 more. Finish with 30 questions. That gives you a full 150 question mock NCLEX. During the test, try to make the environment feel as close to the real NCLEX as possible. No phone. No Netflix. No music. No checking rationales after every question. Sit down, answer the questions, and practice staying focused even when you start getting mentally tired. This is NOT about guaranteeing that your NCLEX will stop at 85 questions. It is about preparing yourself so that whether you get 85 questions or 150, you are ready to keep thinking critically until the exam is over. Your content knowledge matters.
