@vaticanupdate: What happens if the precious blood spills during Mass? A drop of consecrated wine falls from the chalice. What does the Church do? 🍷 The answer reveals everything about what Catholics believe is actually in that chalice. Every drop of the precious blood is treated with the same reverence due to Christ himself. Because every drop is Christ. Body. Blood. Soul. Divinity. Not a symbol. The actual blood of Christ. And you do not casually wipe up the blood of God. If it spills on the altar cloth — the priest washes it himself. By hand. Three times. In the sacrarium — a special sink whose drain goes directly into the ground. Not into the sewage system. If it spills on the floor — the area is washed immediately. That water poured into the sacrarium. Every drop accounted for. None of this is ceremonial fussiness. It is the logical consequence of actually believing what the Catholic Church teaches.
