The people at the recycling plant know about how much a bag or bucket of cans will weigh and pay out. They do it all day. So if a bag usually pays out $5 and you have a $15 bag they're going to catch it real quick

My aunt and uncle smoked cigarettes and would ash or dump bits in cans I would dumb cigarettes into the cans wet then then go turn them in because back in the day cans went based off weight

always filled with melted lead, it sticks to the inside of the can and even if they shred the cans before weighing the lead stays adhered to the cans

I knew a guy we worked on the side at a recycling junk yard. When him and his brother would drive on the scale he'd get out of the truck before he drove back across the scale,got him a extra 200 lbs of weight.
