@louiburke: La Perle is a chic inner-city escape on @airbnb What makes this place special is how host Jim leaned into the bones of the original ’70s walk-up. Dark-stained timber panelling, vintage-style sconces, art, books and a few antiques give the apartment plenty of character without requiring a gut renovation. So no, you don’t need to change absolutely everything or spend a fortune to create a place worth staying. Work with the era, tidy up what’s already there and add a few interesting pieces that give it personality. If you’re travelling and have permission to host your apartment while you’re away, it could be a very chic way to make your home earn for you while you’re elsewhere. #airbnbpaidpartner Earnings and experiences vary.
