Isaiah 43:2 (KJV): 'When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.' One thing we Christians must come in terms with is that following God doesn't mean we will never experience difficult seasons. God never promised that we would have a life without challenges, tears, disappointments, or moments when we struggle to understand what He is doing. God's promise wasn't that we would never enter the fire. His promise was that we wouldn't enter it alone. This means that difficult seasons may come. Our faith may be tested. We may pray about a situation and still have to walk through it. We may do the right thing and still experience an outcome we didn't expect. But in all, He's there with us.
