@hannah718hunter: What a bummer. I felt SO good leading up to this race and was ready to put together a solid day. Got into the woods, worked my way up to 4th, and we were all right there together. Then out of nowhere, I hit a hidden stump in the grass that sent me flying and my quad over the hill. At least I uprooted the stump so everyone behind me was safe 😂 After 4+ minutes I got going again. I knew something wasn’t right, but the adrenaline kicked in and I finished the race. Unfortunately, I broke something in my right hand. I won’t know exactly what we’re dealing with until tomorrow, but it’s looking like my season may be over. Definitely not how I wanted this year to go, but I’m proud I got back on and finished. This year has tested me more than once, but I’m not done. ❤️‍🔥
