After three months of no contact, he suddenly started messaging me on random days, telling me about his problems, his life, and his struggles with school because he said he had no one else to talk to. I used to be the person who was always there for him, the one who stayed through every battle and listened to everything he was going through. But when it was my turn to need him, when I was the one struggling and desperately needed someone to stay, he left me without looking back. What hurts the most is that he can still come to me whenever life gets heavy for him, as if I’m still the person he can run to, even after everything he put me through. I spent so long trying to find peace after he left, and just when I finally started getting used to living without him, he started showing up again. Now, almost every week, he finds a reason to message me and tell me about his life, not knowing that every time he does, he disturbs a peace I had to painfully rebuild without him.
