No. It’s in the syllabus that I do not accept late work and do not accept work turned in via email. When students email me a late assignment it shows me they never read the syllabus.

canvas crashed, wouldn't accept uploads during finals week. one prof stood by his "i dont accept emails" bs & FAILED THE ENTIRE CLASS. University had to step in, but they only gave us Cs & it still crashed a bunch of our GPAs. tech problems are valid & if a teacher will not make exceptions they have no right teaching.

I had a professor who let us turn in the assignments whenever we wanted. You could’ve the done the entire course in two weeks if you wanted to.

I accept all work until the end of the semester, how late it was turned in depends on how many points I take off but points are better than zeros.

My instructor says they don’t take late work and they literally don’t take late work. They will not give you any credit but zero and they will lock all the modules.

I don’t accept it either, it’s in the syllabus and I explain why. It isn’t about the student it’s about me. I want to be consistent in grading (I grade all of Q1 for the whole class and then go to the next question) and I want to give the work back within 24 hours. If I take late work, the answers are out there. That being said, I’ll listen to your rationale if it isn’t a habit

I'll tell you what would impress me and have me considering giving you credit for late work. if you say: "I know the syllabus says you won't accept late work, so I don't expect any credit, but I did the work anyway and was hoping you could give me feedback because I want ro make sure I learned the concept. I'm here to learn after all. I dont care about the grade necessarily" -- I might hear your excuse and give you credit
