I'm from New Orleans born and raised my whole life and moved to Lafayette 5 years ago, and Lafayette is by far the greatest. The people are so nice. If you break down, 10 people will stop to help you. If you break down in new orleans, you get mugged... Not to mention and the food, the food crushes, new orleans. It's either tourist food or people that don't know how to cook cajun. This real cajun down here..

As someone from Houma, I go shopping in New Orleans especially from the Lower Garden district to Uptown on Magazine Street. Where is there a whole entire area you can walk on sidewalks for 6 miles of great shopping in Lafayette & see beautiful historic homes & buildings?
