I’m so proud of her and the direction that she is taking the Colts. She took over the team at a time of mediocrity. The team hasn’t been good for years, and we’ve had a carousel of quarterbacks and leadership during this time. With Ballard, we’ve hit a low spot. I don’t think Coach Shane is that bad, but it’s time for new blood across the leadership team. We don’t necessarily need to blow up the team, but we can if that’s what it takes. Carlie grew up around the game, and she’s very knowledgeable about it. But she’s trying to become the absolute best owner that she can be, and I think she’s not getting enough credit for that. Some people look at her as a micro manager, but I look at it as she wants to be the absolute best owner that she can be. And she can’t make the right decisions if she doesn’t know why they’re the right decisions. She’s doing a good job of learning on the fly. It’s going to take her some time, but she’s 100% dedicated to learn, and I love that in an owner. She’s going to surround herself with good people that can help her. When that time comes, look out.
