Diana Vega :
I don’t believe “nothing lasts forever” has to be true about love. Lasting love takes two people who intentionally choose each other every day and whose actions reflect that choice.
You can pour your whole heart into someone, but you can’t sustain a relationship alone. If one person keeps giving while the other takes, lies, entertains other people, or lets their loyalty shift with a little attention, eventually that love wears down.
To me, it’s about knowing yourself, knowing what you need, and choosing someone who wants to build the same kind of relationship. Respect, loyalty, honesty, and communication are what give love a chance to last. So is choosing each other through difficult times, with both people willing to listen, take responsibility, and make an effort.
I believe love can last. But “forever” has to be something we both work toward, not something one person promises and the other carries.
