I use newspaper on every window & glass for years! Paper towels have some kind of oil on them.

Its caused by off gassing from the dashboard. Use 91% isopropyl alcohol with a microfiber rag. Takes the haze right off

When you clean your windows, clean your wipers with rubbing alcohol on a paper towel.
