Please read this. You might think burnout hits you suddenly - like a clear moment. But it actually starts way earlier. Long before you realize you’re burned out, you’re already just functioning. You act strong, run on your last reserves and keep telling yourself it’s “just a phase.” I thought that too. For me, it felt like an explosion. Looking back now, the signs were obvious: I lost my glow. My body reacted. I gained weight again … something I’ve struggled with all my life. I was so busy being strong for everyone else that I fully ignored myself. If you ask me what got me there? I set boundaries too rarely. I let too much negativity in… even from people I love. Some people don’t talk to find solutions, they talk to unload. And you listen, you carry it, you try to help. Especially when it’s your parents. But even they can’t be saved by you. Burnout doesn’t come from weakness. It comes from being strong for too long - for everyone except yourself. And still: you can start over. Truly. Not someday - today. Not “too late.” Not “too old.” Not “too much has happened.” Because dissatisfaction doesn’t stand still… it will catch up with you. Harder than you think. You don’t have to prove anything. You don’t have to be rich. You don’t have to function perfectly. But you do have to know what you want from life - not what politics, society, your family or social media expect from you. Put your phone down. Look around. Notice your surroundings. And then notice yourself. Not who you’re supposed to be - but who you actually are. Burnout begins the moment you lose yourself. Healing begins the moment you choose yourself. And sometimes healing also begins when you stop expecting anything in return. Stop expecting that everything bad will eventually get what it deserves - and that every good thing you give will automatically be repaid. Do things not because you hope life will reward you, but because they align with your character. Do good because you want people to treat one another that way. That’s where change starts. Choose to create small beautiful things in your life - make someone’s day, simply because you can. And yes, set boundaries. But not those toxic, “I don’t need anyone” walls that shut everything out. I mean: stand up for yourself, respect others’ opinions, but you don’t have to live by them. Just because many expect something from you, doesn’t mean you have to do it. You can be the one who breaks the cycle. I know it’s hard. I still have days where I cry and ask myself: How did I become this person? When I look in the mirror, I often don’t know who I am, what I like, or what I once wanted to be. I feel completely lost. But maybe that’s part of it. Sometimes life starts at 33. For others at 17. For some even later. Maybe we all get reborn at some point… not physically, but in the moment we finally understand: This is my life. Maybe this isn’t the end… maybe it’s the moment you realize that no one is going to save you, until you finally save yourself. #HealingJourney #burnout #selflovejourney #plussizeconfidence #GlowUp
