That's what the makers of these superhero projects need to understand more. it's not about the superpowers. it's about the characters. the characters happen to have the superpowers and I think lanterns did that well.

i cannot get behind this finale being considered a good one. my issues had nothing to do w the lack of constructs and major action. the rest of the show yeah it was peak, but the finale was disappointing. they make hal a victim this entire show by having the entire town despise him, he’s locked up for ten years bc he wouldn’t let that VERY MUCH NOT INNOCENT TOWN harbor space hitler, then the writers let him find someone he actually loved and felt okay being open with, gave us an episode discussing his father that killed himself, and went over his own suicidal ideation just for him to be killed by the woman he loved, a trained sheriff that for some reason pulls out her gun and murders him mid argument bc she’s overwhelmed?? he wasn’t even threatening noah and her urge was to SHOOT HIM POINT BLANK?? then we have the issue of john. making him entirely unworthy of even being a lantern “no evil shall escape my sight” but let’s a manhunter live on even tho that same manhunter said he’s worried he’ll eventually lose control. then he let’s kerry go bc apparently hal would want her to face no consequence. even if hal wouldn’t want her locked up, they wrote her to be a literal lunatic that shoots someone mid argument bc she’s overwhelmed. and again w john they give us an episode surrounding race, great episode, but then they make the BLACK MAN actually give that white lady reparations, and let the white cop go even tho she murdered someone, and they make him act like it was pretty much no big deal. and AGAIN they have him go home to seemingly completely forgive his horrifically psychologically abusive and neglectful parents who also faced no sort of consequence in any way 💀 this finale wasn’t good, and they butchered john and kerry’s characters in the end. you can also tell they made john take on earth as the lantern so they can get away w keeping him on earth and never use space for s2 to save on money.
